If you are a beginner but have passion for this old criteria of stitching. Then in the beginning you can face many problems like how to make your stitch strong or how to durable your sewing.
As I have much knowledge about sewing. It’s my everyday work. I can help you to make a strong stitch, it will be your normal sew for a dress or home appliance or embroidery for your beloved one. I think making something for a special one really gets values , I strongly appreciate it.
So here you go for my advice.
Tips 1: Silk, linen or cotton thread:
A good quality thread silk or linen or cotton thread can help you make a strong stitch. When you finish your stitch you can make a knot.
Tip2: backstitch:
Or you can give a few backstitch. You can make one by taking the thread into backward .It’s very tiny but it’s easier and time consuming. As you know in the beginning, giving back stitches in the machine can be very stressful to you so you just use your pen then draw a line so you stitch smoothly with backstitch which will be strong as a machine.
Tip 3: use double thread:
Always use a double thread for making your stitch stronger. In the beginning and ending of fabric you should seam 1-2 centimeter seam to not crack your stitch.
Tip-4 French embroidery stitch
If you strengthen your last stitch, you can use French stitch, which is really very very strong .You can see my vlog for how to sew French stitch.
Tip 5: Don’t yank your stitching thread:
Always keep it mind that stitching is very sensitive work that doesn’t yank your stitch strongly.
Tip 6: Good needle with sharpness:
You can buy a good quality needle with sharpness. Or you can wax your needle which can help you for more smooth stitching.
Tip 7: tightly pulled thread:
For every stitch, you have to pull tightly your thread, so your stitch will be tight and accurate which looks really good to all.
Tip 8: use a thimble:
I have a popular recommendation of mastering a strong stitch that is using a thimble. I’d like to share the significant benefits of using a thimble.it can enhance your speed of stitching.
Thimbles come in various designs, so you can find different types and choose the one that suits you best.
Tips9:be sure of old thread:
When you go to to the market to buy a thread, always check its oldness. Old thread are weaker than new one.
Tips 10: Victorian hand sewing tool:
You can use a Victorian hand sewing tool which helps you prevent your loose stitch.
Tips 11: Take a basic course:
