Khadi cloth is produced in Chandina upazila Sadar, Madhaiya, Kalagaon, Belaswar, Saitla, Bakhrabad, Pir and Gobindpur in Comilla and Barkamta and Bhani villages in Devidwar. According to historian Ghulam Farooq, the residents of Hindu families in these regions have been making khadi cloth for years.
